Mychron 4, 5, 6 Expansion Strip

The Expansion Strip can be used with the Mychron 4, Mychron 5 and Mychron 6 Gauges, an easy way to add steering and pedal sensors to your kart for improved data and driver coaching information

MyChron Expansion is the new channel multiplier improving MyChron 4, Mychron 5 and MyChron 6 performances, thanks to four additional channels and a further connector for the CAN bus. Through this last connector MyChron4, 5, 6 can be connected to another AIM system (LCU Lambda controller, GPS (M4), SmartyCam) or a Data key (M4) for data download.

Thanks to its specific wiring, MyChron Expansion powers MyChron 4, Mychron 5, Mychron 6 and their peripherals with an external battery, avoiding logger internal battery consumption. 

MyChron Expansion features four inputs to connect MyChron 4, 5, 6 to an equal number of additional channels. All channels are easily configurable as analog through MyChron4 and 5 menu to sample data outcoming from -

Exhaust gas valve position sensor (very important to understand at which RPM value the exhaust port opens)
Wheel speed sensor: the first input on the left can be configured also as digital input
No contact brake pedal position sensor
No contact throttle pedal position sensor (to know if and when to push harder on the accelerator)
Brake pressure sensor
Water temperature - Black thermoresistor sensors only, does NOT work with yellow patch cables and sensors
Steering angle potentiometer (to highlight over/under steering situations)
Brake pedal potentiometer
