  • Arai CK-6 Junior Karting Helmet - IN STOCK!

    Snell-FIA CMH 2016 (Children's Motorsport Helmet)

The new Arai CK-6 Junior Karting helmet was one of the first in the world to have CIK-FIA CMH approval. The helmet is designed for junior kart racers that are too small to comfortably support the weight of the adult sized shell found in the SK-6.

The CK-6 helmet was designed with many of the features found throughout the Arai auto racing line of helmets.

The SRC or Special Resin Construction provides the ultimate in safety while allowing the shell to be lightweight and comfortable for the junior driver.

The two intake and two exhaust vents allow for maximum ventilation through the helmet providing comfort while on the kart track.

A great feature of the CK-6 is the removable and replaceable cheek pads that will allow the helmet to "grow" with the junior driver as they grow.

While the CK-6 is similar to other Arai helmet models it does require a different shield, pivot kit and tear offs.

Here is a little info on the CMH helmet standard:

The Snell-FIA CMH 2016 (Children's Motorsport Helmet) approval was developed to provide a suitable helmet for children to use in Motorsport, rather than a helmet design for an adult head (& neck) which is then shrunk down to youth sizes. This new standard only accepts helmets for head circumferences under 60cms, so children with a larger head should go for the SA and K standards. The CMH standard sets different maximum weight limits depending on size, with 1300 grams being the maximum weight for a full face helmet sizes 57-59cms and 1100 grams the maximum weight for sizes 49cms and under.
