The 2015 season is officially here and the Comet Racing Engines team traveled to Daytona International Speedway for this year's WKA Manufacturers Cup Season Opener.
The 2015 season is officially here and the Comet Racing Engines team traveled to Daytona International Speedway for this year's WKA Manufacturers Cup Season Opener. Congratulations to Dustin Stross on his win in Pro Leopard on a Tony Kart with a Comet Leopard, Dustin also finished a close 2nd in Pro X30 after trading the lead back and forth on the final lap. Top Kart USA driver Zach Holden took home the win in IAME Junior with his Comet X30, Zach was second in Yamaha Junior with his Comet KT100. And a big congratulations to Donald Whorton II for taking his first WKA National win in Yamaha Rookie with a Comet KT100 on a Tony Kart. Luca Mars finished a strong third in Mini Rok with his Comet tuned Vortex engine on a Praga kart. Madison Campeau was 5th in Yamaha Junior Sportsman also on the Praga. Top Kart USA driver David Malukas was 2nd behind Holden in IAME Jr. and Malukas was third in Yamaha Junior with David Kalb Jr. 5th, Drew Lindley 6th and Michael Cruz in 7th all on FA Karts. Kartsport driver Brandon Jones was 5th in Pro X30 on an Arrow X3. Andrick Zeen was 2nd in Pro Leopard with a Comet Tuned Leopard on the Praga. The Comet Racing Engines support team will be at all WKA Manufacturers Cup and USPKS Races in 2015 to provide trackside service and support.
