New! MyChron Expansion Strip
MyChron Expansion is the new channel multiplier improving MyChron4 and MyChron4 2T performances, thanks to four additional channels and a further connector for the CAN bus. Through this last connector MyChron4 can be connected to another AIM system (LCU Lambda controller, GPS, SmartyCam) or a Data key for data download. Thanks to its specific wirings, MyChron Expansion powers MyChron4 and its peripherals with an external battery, avoiding logger internal battery consumption. MyChron Expansion features four inputs to connect MyChron4 to an equal number of additional channels. All channels are easily configurable as analog through MyChron4 menu to sample data outcoming from: Exhaust gas valve position sensor (very important to understand at which RPM value the exhaust port opens) Wheel speed sensor: the first input on the left can be configured also as digital input No contact brake pedal position sensor No contact throttle pedal position sensor (to know if and when to push harder on the accelerator) Brake pressure sensor Water temperature or cylinder head temperature (PT100 thermo resistor) Steering angle potentiometer (to highlight over/under steering situations) Brake pedal potentiometer Throttle pedal potentiometer MyChron Expansion is a complete, value-for-money instrument for professional kart analysis. New! Power Valve Sensor
AIM power valve sensor provides a very accurate indication of the exhaust gas valve* working, measuring its gap in mm. The sensor, which measures valve stroke until 20mm, samples RPM value that opens/closes the valve and all intermediate values too. Data are immediately visible on MyChron4 display: RPM/GasValv graph of the analyzed lap appears. With Race Studio Analysis software data of different laps can be compared on your PC. Closed valve position is auto-calibrated by the sensor. Thanks to this sensor, valve malfunctions are under control. * The sensor is currently compatible with Rotax-type valves, used by the following engines: Rotax, Super Rok, Maxter, Maranello. Compatibility will shortly be extended to other valve types. Power valve sensor can be connected to eBox Extreme as well as to the new MyChron Expansion.

Introduction Often we think that GPS modules are useful in order to only design track maps. But in fact GPS can be used to gain much more information than just a standard accelerometer. From information relating to the chassis to behavior of the driver on the track. Thanks to GPS you will be able therefore to visualize the circuit, your lines and the relative speed, and to even estimate your errors, exporting all these information in Google Earth. You will be able therefore to see your performances and lines imported over real track images! This additional information will improve your ability not only to improve the chassis but also driving technique! The GPS unit does not require any wheel speed sensors or trackside beacon for laptimes! The GPS Unit plugs into the back of your Mychron 4 Basic Gauge or can be used besides the E-Box as well! GPS Unit does require Mychron 4 Basic gauge. The unit also does not come with the E-Key download key and software. Information that you can visualize thanks to the GPS: * Position and trajectories * Speed * Angular velocity of distance * Longitudinal and lateral acceleration of distance * Times on the turn *AIM currently recommends that you use an external 12v source for power or if used on a TaG kart that the power cables run to the battery.
